Educational Public Programs for Children

A guide to the seasonal programs offered at the Environmental Education Center is published in January, May, and September each year by the Courier News, and mailed to individuals on our mailing list. If you wish to be added to our list, you may call the Center at 908 766-2489. Please be aware that program maximum enrollment is met quickly; we advise you register as soon as possible in accordance with the registration dates.

Programs are age-range specific in order to ensure full enrichment for each child. The child must be the minimum age and no older than the maximum age listed on the date the program is offered. We appreciate your cooperation.

CONCURRENT PROGRAMMING

The Environmental Education Center offers programming for different ages at the same time of the day. It is our hope that families with children of different ages will be able to take advantage of the convenience of the scheduled activities. Please note that these programs are not designed only for families that have children of different ages. Our programming is available to all children that fall into the advertised age ranges.

Field of Bugs (May register for this program now)
(Ages 4-6) Spend an afternoon in the field with a sweep net, a bug jar, and a magnifying glass. How many species of critters do you think you can catch? Make observations about how they move and interact.
